What we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information (name, email, phone)
• Care profile information you create (care recipient details, conditions, medications)
• Task, calendar, expense, and document data you enter
• Check-in conversation content (private to you)
• SMS consent records

We also collect automatically:

• Usage data (pages visited, features used)
• Device and browser information
• IP address

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the TendKin service
• To send care coordination communications you've requested
• To send SMS notifications you've opted into
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Private check-ins

Your private AI check-in conversations are stored encrypted and are accessible only to you. They are not shared with other family members, care team members, or third parties. They are used to provide the check-in service and to improve AI responses, but they are not used to build advertising profiles or sold to third parties.

Health data

TendKin may store health-related information you provide (conditions, medications, etc.). We handle this data with heightened care in alignment with FTC Health Breach Notification Rule requirements. We do not share individually identifiable health information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

SMS consent and opt-out

If you opt into SMS notifications:

• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
• Reply HELP for assistance
• Message and data rates may apply
• Your consent is stored and can be revoked in Settings

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it by law.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Data sharing

We share data only with:

• Service providers who help us operate TendKin (hosting, email, analytics) under data processing agreements
• Law enforcement when required by valid legal process
